What is “Updog,” anyway?

Here is a list of words and phrases you might hear at any given time at C + C:

Keeping it 100: Giving 100%, doing the best job possible. (Related: Keeping it real.)

Jhuzh: Oh my goodness

MC: Multicultural, as in, “This strategy needs some MC magic.”

Power Clash: Relating to Bryan Cohen’s wardrobe, especially when the red pants and green flannel make an appearance.

Updog: Official C+C mascot, actually a piñata but doesn’t realize it.

Awesome Bomb: The Big Idea, The Life Changer, The Thing From Which All Awesomeness Flows

Living the Dream: “I’ve got seven things to get done before end of day, it’s raining outside and the stomach flu is going around my kid’s school.”

The Mighty ________: An honorific used to confer respect, or warn someone that they are about to be asked an unanswerable question.

Secret Sauce: The ingredients in the great C+C casserole. Consist of Client Love, Awesome Work, Cool Culture, and Thousand Island Dressing.

“Eeeeehhhhhh!!”: “I’m old, leave me alone. Also, is that a rotary phone?” (unique to Vandy)

Bainbridge Island: Where Molly Brumley benevolently rules.

PDX: The Portland Office

Agency Cheese: Cheese that comes from Costco, usually accompanied by Agency Cured Meats.

Wine Friday: Speaks for itself. Actual start time variable.

Top 5 ____: A list of 3 items, followed by lots of consideration/debate of the final 1 item. Rarely adds up to five actual items. Usually more like a top three.

Jam it in the jammer: To print, copy, scan, or otherwise make a duplicate of a piece of paper.
