When Washington and Colorado legalized cannabis in 2012, the cannabis industry existed as a shadowy market filled with unprofessional brands. As the legal landscape shifted, C+C worked with the world’s first cannabis investment firm to redefine the industry and build professional brands through media strategies raising the profile of Privateer Holdings, Tilray, and their family of brands. We strategically announced a series of industry firsts: the first institutional investment in cannabis, the first cannabis company to IPO on a major U.S. stock exchange, first hiring of a DEA agent, first cannabis ad in the New York Times, first clinical trials of cannabis for medicinal uses and more. Media outreach earned thousands of stories in top-tier media and drove investors to the company, now valued at $20+ billion.
