Director, Digital Strategy

While all current positions have the option of starting fully remotely, our offices are available for all employees to work from on a voluntary basis, and we soft-launched our office re-opening on March 21st. Once we announce a firm return to office date for 2022 (still TBD), all local employees will have the option of working a minimum of two days and maximum of 5 days in the office.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

C+C is looking for a passionate and motivated Director of Digital Strategy to grow the digital strategy function and team. The successful candidate is a data-driven strategic thinker, not afraid to get creative and push the boundaries in the digital space to achieve client goals. Simultaneously, this person is a leader and invested in the growth and development of digital team members and agency colleagues. As the digital strategy team lead, you understand how content performs uniquely on each platform, keep up with the ever-evolving digital landscape of platforms, tactics, targeting capabilities, and performance reporting, and are motivated to create engaging campaigns that drive results. You will work closely with account leads and clients to set KPIs and develop strategic integrated marketing plans, the creative team to ensure digital assets are optimized for results, and your digital team and external partners to execute plans and evaluate impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow the digital team, prioritizing growth, and development of junior level staff. Lead multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously amid ambiguity under tight client deadlines, communicating regularly with internal teammates and clients.
  • Lead the agency’s digital strategy function helping account staff and clients understand the potential of integrating digital as part of their marketing plans.
  • Lead the development of thoughtful and strategic digital marketing strategies and plans, tailored to client needs.
  • Oversee and/or own the development of custom digital strategies and plans to support integrated marketing campaigns, tailored to achieve client goals.
  • Incorporate audience insights, data analytics, digital trends, user behaviors, and competitive audits to inform digital marketing strategies.
  • Set KPIs, plan, launch, execute and evaluate multi-channel campaigns, keeping account teams updated on progress and issues.
  • Work directly with cross-functional teams and clients to manage expectations, explain complex issues, and provide counsel on digital tactics at whatever level of technical understanding they may have.
  • Collaborate with agency teams to develop comprehensive campaign reports that provide meaningful insights and actionable takeaways and recommendations that demonstrate the “so what?” of the campaign..
  • Support agency teams with the development of new business proposals and pitches by providing insight-driven POVs for multichannel campaign strategies and various tactics.
  • Remain up-to-date on digital trends to advise and educate internal teams on trends and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years’ digital marketing experience in an agency setting.
  • Experience developing digital marketing strategy for client/company initiatives and campaigns.
  • At least 2 years’ experience building, managing and motivating a team.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing tactics including SEM, SEO, PPC, Display, and social media.
  • Highly adaptable with a keen ability to read the room, lead the room and build consensus.
  • Great relationship skills with teammates and clients.
  • An understanding of B2B and B2C marketing.
  • Experience with platforms like Google AdWords, Google Analytics, SEMRush.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to instill confidence and collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
  • Ability to proactively identify the tactics needed to jump start client projects.
  • Ability to evaluate creative work from both a strategic and executional perspective.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to maintain a positive attitude with team members and clients in stressful situations.
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to work and adapt in a rapidly moving environment.
  • Resourcefulness and a focus on seeing the work through to the end.
  • A four-year college degree, or equivalent experience.
  • A sense of humor!

    This is a full-time, salaried position with a full benefits package. Starting salary from $100k plus bonus. We provide a public transit pass, and work from home set-up as needed.
