In 2019, Seattle Colleges needed a brand identity for its Seattle Promise program, which offers tuition-free college education and mentorship to high school graduates. To develop the Seattle Promise brand platform and visual identity, C+C carefully balanced the needs of several key audiences: students, parents, partners and funders. The result was a vibrant, youthful color palette, a crest-like logo conveying the weight of a trusted academic institution, and “Find Your Future,” an aspirational tagline capturing both a sense of possibility and the program’s overarching goal. C+C then developed a suite of materials and targeted digital video ads reaching over 100,000 people and achieving high engagement on social media. In the month following the campaign, the program received over 1,200 applications (more than 30% of all qualified students).
